Men's 50 metre Breaststroke Results
50 metre events are always incredibly close and very exciting as a result, and the Men’s 50 metre breaststroke was no exception. Italy’s Simone Cerasuolo won gold in 26.54 touching just 0.08 seconds ahead of second placed Kirill Prigoda in 26.62. The 100-metre breaststroke champion Qin Haiyang won Bronze just over one tenth of a second behind Cerasuolo swimming 26.67. World Record holder and multiple Olympic and World Champion Adam Peaty was not swimming at these World Championships but has confirmed he will be training for the Los Angeles Olympics with the 50-metre breaststroke being added to the programme which will add some extra excitement into the event come race time. Peaty will be looking to add to his medal collection and continue his legacy which will be interesting to watch.
